BE THE CAUSE Honored with Award

Congratulations go out to all the amazing network of volunteers for being honored this year by the Urban Community Outreach Center (UCO) as an “outstanding community partner” for service & dedication towards the homeless community in Long Beach, California

This award will be presented to Be The Cause at UCO’s annual gala. All proceeds will benefit the UCO and their tireless efforts to continue & expand assistance to the homeless community of Long Beach.

The event takes place on Saturday evening, March 12, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Tickets are $40/apiece (more info below). It would be a nice gesture to attend as a collective group, so kindly email sonalif@bethecause.org if you would like to attend. You will then receive a personalized invitation from UCO.

Casa De Paz – Serving Kids in Need

Each time we head south, cross the U.S. border and hit the uneven, dusty roads past Tijuana, we’re reminded of the greatest gift that awaits us – serving these children that await our arrival at the Casa De Paz orphanage in Ensenada. And each and every time, they await us with eagerness and uninhibited love.

They are truly amazing.

A few of us are hitting the road again in a few short weeks to cook for the 40+ kids and to bring much-needed items they have requested of us. To make this happen, we’re reaching out to the collective community, hoping you would like to be part of the journey, in that sense.

If you would like to donate towards the meal and/or towards the items we have to purchase for the kids, here’s your opportunity. And let us know if you would like us to send you a tax donation receipt.

A heartfelt thank YOU for your caring, for reaching out to these kids in need of love and support. We will update you upon our return and publish photos as well.
